2006 BMW R1150GS Adventure Special Edition in Nashville, TN

This bike is number 538 on the 2006 BMW R1150GS Registry. It is a great bike with around 17,000 miles on it (subject to change with the nice weather we’ve been having).

I purchased this bike used, in 2007, with 437 miles on it. I am the 2nd owner, but the bike was practically new when I bought it. I got the bike for the sole purpose of riding to Alaska, the Arctic Ocean, and back to TN. The journey was amazing and the bike performed like a champ (for the story and pics, go to I planned to keep the bike after my adventure was finished, but I just don’t ride it enough. So it’s for sale, and you can buy it!

When I decided to sell this bike, I thought I would sweeten the deal by having the 18,000 mile service completed. This was done 2 weeks ago by a Certified BMW Mechanic, my brother Brian who works at Gateway BMW in St. Louis. Here’s a list of everything that was serviced:

Changed Engine Oil and Filter
Changed Gearbox Oil
Changed Final Drive Oil

Changed Brake Fluid (includes ABS Fluid Change)
Changed Clutch Fluid
Changed Spark Plugs
Cleaned and Greased Battery Terminals
Adjusted Valves
Adjusted Throttle Body Synchronization
Checked the Entire Bike (Cables, Spokes, Lights, Side and Center Stands, Tires, etc…)

Here’s a list of farkles included with the bike (in addition to the BMW standards like ABS, Heated Grips, etc…). I am not interested in parting the bike out:

BMW Adventure Bags with Cee Bailey’s Liners
Kildala Center Stand Engine Guard
Kildala Front Engine Guard (not installed on bike, but included)
Kildala Rear Brake Master Cylinder Guard
Touratech Headlight Guard
Touratech Oil Cooler Guard
Garmin 2730 GPS with XM Antenna (can receive XM Radio, Traffic, and Weather)
Migsel RAM Mount for GPS
ROC Stompa Foot Pegs
J&M CB Radio with BMW headset jack next to the top power outlet

Tire Minder Valve Stem Caps
BMW Tool Kit
BMW Battery Tender
Wired for Heated Seat
Auxiliary Cable installed under seat (for heated vest, battery tender, etc…)
Powerlet to 2 Cigarette Adapter
Auxiliary Cable to 2 Cigarette Adapter
Small Pelican box mounted on left case
Shovel (e-tool) mounted on right case
Original Rear Foot Pegs (used when BMW Adventure Bags and frame are not mounted)
Original Front Foot Pegs
Original Guard for Rear Brake Master Cylinder
Clymer Manual
BMW Owners Manuals

The bike is ready to ride home anywhere you want to go. If you want to do a fly and ride, I can pick you up at the Nashville (BNA) Airport.

I’m asking $12,000 o.b.o. Please don’t ask me to part the bike out or to trade. I’m not interested in either.

I have a clear title in hand.

 And now for the pics!
